Dido to make comeback

LONDON:

Pop star Dido has announced her return to the music scene with a new album following a five-year absence. Safe Trip Home is the follow up to 2003’s Life For Rent, which became the UK’s fourth biggest selling album of the decade.

Don’t Believe In Love will be the first single off the new album, due for release in November. The tracks were produced by Jon Brion, Dido and Ark, and was recorded in Los Angeles and London.

The release of Dido’s latest album has been postponed several times due to the death of her father in December 2006. The Grammy Award-winning artist is giving away one song called Look No Further for download through her official website.

Dido’s first album No Angel, released in 1999, is the UK’s biggest selling debut album by a British female artist. In 2005 the singer performed at three of the Live 8 concerts in London, the Eden Project in Cornwall and Paris.
