Difference friends make in our lives
My friend Mira was always reserved and serious. She never smiled.
Her main problem was that she was lonely and she had no one to share her feelings with. She also did not trust anyone.
Being a teenager, sharing troubles and confiding in others did not come easily to Mira. Her views of other people were always negative and because of this she did not have a close friend.
Mira wanted to be like other teenagers, have fun, go out but she also did not want all these things to hamper her studies.
But when she became friends with us, she became happy and started sharing her feelings.
The first time I found her smiling and laughing, I was shocked. It was then that I noticed — she had beautiful eyes.
What I’ve learned from my friendship with Mira is that we need at least one friend in our life. And I thank God for blessing me with so many wonderful friends. — Munanchu Poudel, Class IX, VS GEMS, Thapathali
