Edu bytes : Giving hope
Kathmandu:
A fundraising programme Hope for Education was held at The Bakery Café, Sundhara on December. Former Peace Corps volunteer and NYU Law alumnus, Rajeev Goyal who was highly
inspired by Harka Lama, the former principal of Namje High School to start this project.
He hosted the programme which had musical performances by Kutumba, Kunti Moktan, Mica Sundari, Barta Gandharva, and Tulsi Parajuli. The funds generated will be used to
help build a science laboratory, library, nursery classroom, and cafeteria for Gramin Janata High School in Namje, Dhankuta.
Fundraisers for different issues have been previously held in New York City as well which include Hope for Water, Hope for Education and Hope for Environment.
