Education fair

KATHMANDU: An educational exhibition will be held in Kathmandu in mid-April under the joint auspices of Araniko Society, China Scholarship Programme and Chinese embassy. The exhibition is organised with a view to providing information to the students and guardians about the education in China in which a total of 26 government universities will participate. — RSS

Knowledge value

RASUWA: People of Gatlang, situated at 2,590m above sea level, are slowly getting attracted to and have started to understand the value of education. The people, who used to hide when they saw newcomers in the village, have started to send their children to schools. More than 500 children go to school these days and about more than 10 students are preparing to pursue higher studies. — HNS

Vocational study

KATHMANDU: The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry reached an agreement on running a job-training centre under the trade school concept. According to the agreement, the government will make available the money needed, CTEVT will provide the technical help and the FNCCI will run the training centre. — RSS
