Experts root for IT

Information Technology Society (IT-S) Nepal organised an interaction on April 2 at CRT Building Putalisadak. IT-S has been organising interaction programmes every Saturday at the same venue where IT professionals and educationists put forth their ideas and views for establishing the network and strengthening IT sector in the country.

Bidur P Upadhyay, chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC) said, “For the development of Information Technology in our country, the concept of IT Council should be materialised.”

Subarna Shakya, head, computer and electronics department, Institute of Engineering, said there should be adequate co-ordination between training sectors and universities to give a fillip to this sector.
