Hotel Shangri-La announced a new scheme — become a platinum card member and get a deal on Thai Airways Bangkok-Hong Kong-Singapore route. Special fares are available for expatriates also with a discount up to nine per cent. Children below 12 years get a special 25 per cent discount. Fares are valid between June 1 to August 30, 04 only. The journey must be completed by September 30, 04. Besides these, the platinum card owner gets special privileges on room rates, food outlets, laundry, massage centre, beauty parlour and bakery shop at Hotel Shangri-La. A complimentary one-day use of board room with email and internet facility can also be available or you could choose a two nights stay on room only basis at Shangri-la hotel, Kathmandu or Shangri-La Village, Pokhara with a complimentary membership card for spouse.
