For Nicole Charity is more

LONDON: Nicole Kidman insists her charity work is more important than pursuing her hugely successful acting career. The Australian star, who pitches in for Unicef and supports a host of women’s health charities, was quoted by Internet portal Femalefirst as saying: “I find trying to solve problems and save lives far more important than my film career. “I’ve been put in a position where I’ve been given a lot. I think it’s my duty to give something back.” She was recently seen sporting a pink wristband to the British premiere of her new movie ‘The Interpreter’ in tribute to her late mother Janelle’s battle with breast cancer. The ‘Moulin Rouge’ star says she has her eyes set on the British theatre, but her children, Isabella and Connor, won’t let her shift base. — HNS
