Get ready for Dr Alban

Kathmandu:

What happens when 50,000 watts of sound and 60,000 Watts of light hit you from a steel stage? You have Dr Alban pumping up the adrenaline till the audience reaches the stratosphere. Twenty artistes are being flown in from Sweden, Europe and India to make this event a memorable one. The show is totally conceptualised to international standards with an all-steel look 30 foot high stage.

Sharing stage with the ‘doctor’ will be Francis and Cha-nelle who have wowed crowds in Dubai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Goa and Kolkata. Among the rare artistes who specialise in minus track singing, this pair comes across like a breath of fresh air. While Francis was the Top 10 Finalists of Channel V Popstar, Chanelle is popularly known as ‘Britney Whouston’ for her renditions of Britney Spears and Whitney Houston. DJ Jimmy Tangree or the “King of DJs” is the only Indian DJ to have performed with the legendary Paul Oakenfold in New York. He has made an indelible mark on party scenes in regions as diverse as the Middle East, Europe and South East Asia. Jimmy loves performing in Kathmandu. “Kathmandu has a crowd that has no match, the attitude of crowd and the energy is far better than I have seen in any other international event”.

This event is sponsored by Surya Lights. Mullick of McDowell Nepal says McDowell No1 Whisky is continuing its legacy of entertainment and kickstarting the Dashain season with the biggest international artiste show in Nepal this year. Akbar Shah of Channel Nepal says Dr Alban’s performance in Nepal is one big opportunity for the fans to see him live.
