Goût de France in Kathmandu on March 21
KATHMANDU: The Embassy of France in Kathmandu is all set to organise the third edition of 'Goût de France' (Good France) at the Residence of France on March 21.
According to a statement issued by the French Embassy, various teams would participate in preparing and catering dishes, which would be "low in fat, sugar and salt, eyeing to promote the art of eating well."
The Goût de France is an annual event which would bring together over 2,000 chefs of five continents to celebrate French gastronomy across the world, the statement added.
In Nepal, Chimney Fine Dining Restaurant, Le Sherpa Restaurant, Garden Terrace Restaurant, Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management and Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE) are participating in the event.
The international event that started in 2015 at the initiative of French chef Alain Ducasse and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development.
In the year 2015, more than 1,300 restaurants had participated in the event whereas the number increased to over 1,715 in 2016.
