Hugh Grant has been asked to be best man at former lover Liz Hurley’s wedding to Arun Nayar. The Notting Hill actor has remained friends with his ex, despite being caught with prostitute Divine Brown during their 13 year relationship, and the couple want him to be part of their big day.

However, Hugh’s current girlfriend Jemima Khan is not happy with Liz’s request and has ordered him to turn down the offer. An insider is quoted by Britain’s Daily Star newspaper as saying: “Jemima and Hugh are besotted with each other.

And she is comfortable with his bizarre friendship with Liz, because she knows that Arun and Liz wouldn’t get

married unless they were madly in love. But she is sick of the constant speculation about Hugh and Liz’s friendship, and obviously there will be a media frenzy if Hugh agrees to be Liz’s best man.”
