The University of Montevallo was founded in 1896 and is currently offering an educational experience of high quality, with a strong emphasis on undergraduate liberal studies. It is located in the town of Montevallo, 35 miles south of Birmingham. The University is spread out across a 160-acre main campus.
Courses
It offers undergraduate liberal studies and with professional programmes supported by a broad base of arts and sciences, designed for intellectual and personal growth in pu-rsuit of meaningful employment and responsible informed citizenship.
Colleges
It has four colleges — the College of Arts and Sciences, the Michael E Stephens College of Business, the College of Education, and the College of Fine Arts. Students may choose from 37 challenging degree programmes while enjoying a student/faculty ratio of 16 to one.
Requirements
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score report with the University required score of 525 or higher (193 or higher on the computer based exam).

Scholarships
Over 65 per cednt of Montevallo students receive financial assistance. Scholarships are awarded based upon ACT/SAT scores, grades, and in many cases, financial need.
