Aamir, Amisha: What’s up?

MUMBAI: Grapevine has it that there’s something brewing between Aamir Khan and Amisha Patel. Reports have it that Aamir is making attempts to be more than a gentleman when it comes to the lissom lass. Stories of Rani getting more footage in the film coupled with the news that Rani is also the most sought after actress in the film industry seem to have made Amisha insecure.

And may be that is the reason Aamir has gone out of his way to make Amisha feel

comfortable. The two have reportedly become a cosy twosome. Amisha was earlier linked with Bunty Walia and then Vikram Bhatt, which she vehemently denied. She is now strongly linked with Aamir Khan.

‘Villain’ on painkillers

MUMBAI: Actor Mukesh Tiwari is in pain these days after a bad fall that broke his leg during an unnecessary stunt. Yet he continued to shoot for The Rising using painkillers. “It was a very important film, I had to remove my bandage as they could not wait for three months for me to recover,” says Tiwari.

Like Vivek Oberoi who fell from a horse, it was an unnecessary stunt for Tiwari. “I jumped from a height of 45 feet and though I landed on the boxes — I broke my leg,” Tiwari told while shooting for Tango Charlie, which stars Sanjay Dutt and Suneil Shetty.

Tiwari had recently come up with a power-packed performance in Prakash Jha’s Gangaajal. Tiwari’s biggest surprise was when he turned down The Rising, which stars Aamir Khan. “To my surprise Ajay Devgan called Aamir Khan and requested him to make sure that I was not replaced. That was a very warm gesture on Ajay’s part,” adds Tiwari.

Interestingly, Mukesh Tiwari turns singer and lyricist for Shabnam Mausi which stars Ashutosh Rana in the lead.

Valentine’s is nothing to Vivek

MUMBAI: Valentine’s Day does not find favour with some Bollywood actors. At the sets of film Masti and Kyon, Ho Gaya Na? the love sequences were being shot with concepts like ‘love at first sight’ and ‘love just happens’ where the common lead was being enacted by Vivek Oberoi with great aplomb.

However, when the question of Valentine’s Day was put across Vivek, he turned snappy and said, “I don’t believe In Valentine’s Day! What do you mean by Valentine’s day?”

However, the producer of Masti, Ashok Thakeria obviously loved the Saathiya star

as he has bagged the lead role in Maruti International’s second film.

Cannes she make it?

MUMBAI: It is old news that the cold war between director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Aishwarya Rai has ended.

The clock is turning for this Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam stunner. Like last year, Aishwarya has been invited again to be on the jury of the Cannes International Film Festival. But, unlike last time Ash will take utmost care of her look for the festival this time. The catch is however, her younger brother Siddharth Rai is all set to marry around the same time. So she is in a dilemma whether to attend Cannes or to stay for the wedding.

On the career front, there are four reasons to cheer for an Ash fan. According to the grapevine, Aishwarya has agreed to do four international films. Ash has green signalled The Nisha Sharma Story, Singularity, Surprise and I Know, I Care. In Bollywood, Ash is said to have been signed for debutante director Leena Bajaj’s Shabd (word) with Zayed Khan.
