Theme for the show: ‘Get ready with designer wear’

Colours highlighted: Chocolate brown, brown, white and black.

Fabrics Used: Silk, tissue, cotton and net.

What’s Unique: The fusion of old designs with new designs.

Background of the group members: Ex-students of IEC and hail from Pokhara.

Price Range: Rs 2000 to Rs 2500

Group Name: Sushmita Giri, Dipti Daruka, Aarti Shrestha, Uttam Shrestha, Sangeeta Shilpakar

Theme for the show: ‘Searching for Peace’.

What’s the collection like: The sequence would feature a collection gowns, two pieces and night party wear.

Colours highlighted: White and light blue, which are the colours of Peace.

Fabrics Used: Satin and net.

What’s Unique: The theme itself makes the entire ensemble unique.

Background of the group members: All the designers of this group are students of IEC.

Group Name: Hashna Shrestha, Neetu Budhathoki, Hashina Gurung and Radha Gurung

Theme for the show: Casual and Evening Wear

What’s the collection like: The sequence would include a collection of casual clothes.

Colours highlighted: Black and brown and light colours.

Fabrics Used: Satin, leather, cotton and jeans.

What’s Unique: The simplicity of the collection is the most unique feature of it.

Background of the group members: Present student of IEC

Group Name: Sunita Thapa, Bhawana Kunwar, Laxmi Malla and Sangeeta Thapa

Theme for the show: ‘Mix and Match’.

What’s the collection like: The collection is a combination of western and traditional.

Colours highlighted: Vibrant colours like red, yellow, green, white, pink, blue, purple

Fabrics Used: Brocade, Lycra, cotton, jute, chiffon, georgette, silk and satin.

What’s Unique: A unique dress made in the shape of a flower vase out of flowers.

Background of the group members: All the designers from this group hail from Butwal and are self-taught designers.

Price Range: Rs 1000 to Rs 6,500

Group Name: Preeti Basnet and Manju Acharya

Theme for the show: ‘Trousseau’, clothes for the newly married

What’s the collection like: The collection is entirelymade for the newly married.

Colours highlighted: Bri-ght colours especially red.

Fabrics Used: Raw silk, silk, chiffon and georgette.

What’s Unique: It’s only for the newly wed.

Background of the group members: All members are presently studying at IEC.

Price Range: Rs 2000 to Rs 6000

Group Name: Sharada Khanal, Sangita Sainju, Sarju Shrestha, Pranita Barai and Nirupama Thapa.

Theme for the show: Casual Wear.

What’s the collection like: The collection would carry western styled clothes ranging from two pieces, pants, skirts.

Group Name: Saurav Acharya, Kishor Raut, Anil Bhatta and Manisha Bansal.

Theme for the show: ‘Clash’ and ‘Sensual Wear’.

Fabrics Used: White jeans, shower leather, jeans and cotton.

Group Name: Indira Gurung.

Theme for the show: ‘Natural Wear’.

What’s the collection like: The collection will focus at western styled traditional Nepali outfits.

Fabrics Used: Nepali fabrics like hand cotton, linen cotton, hemp and Allo cotton.

What’s Unique: The use of Nepali fabrics and Nepali products is the main highlight.

Background of the group members: Ex-student of IEC and works for an export house.

Price Range: Rs 1500 to Rs 3500

Group Name: Phursang Lama.

Theme for the show: ‘Checks Sequence’.

What’s the collection like: The collection would feature one piece western and wearable short dresses meant for teenagers.

Colours highlighted: Soft colours with checks.
