Heading towards new horizons

The wait is over. The time has come to bid goodbye to the winners of Miss Nepal pageant 2007 with best wishes as they are all set to represent Nepal in international beauty pageants. A press conference was organised by The Hidden Treasure at Hyatt Regency on October 17 to inform that Miss Nepal Sitashma Chand and First Runner Up Bandana Sharma are leaving for Miss World 2007 and Miss Earth 2007 respectively.

Well trained for the pageant the girls are all set to take over the world. Apart from the etiquette and personality development trainings given during Miss Nepal pageant they were also given courses in physical fitness, health and hygiene and beauty concept. They are also being trained in Nepali dance for the talent round. Sitashma Chand will be performing in Bara hate patuki and Bandana in Eh bhena yo salo. For the national costume round Sitashma will be wearing traditional Rana Thakuri attire and Bandana will be clad in Limbu attire.

Talking to this daily, Sitashma who will be leaving for the Miss World Pageant in China on

October 30 said, “I am looking forward to the pageant, the pressure is building up but I am liking it as it helps me to push myself harder to do better.”

“Right now the world relate Nepal with instability, I will try my level best to prove that there is more than just instability and chaos in our country,” she added. Bandana who will be leaving for Miss Earth pageant on October 19 said, “I am both nervous and excited. Well I am confident but worried as well as I will be all alone there but I am excited to know how other contestants are. I know I am all prepared.”
