Health expo opens in Capital

KATHMANDU: Amezuca Health and Fitness expo 2008 is being held at Direction Exhibition and Convention Centre, UWTC from August 21 to 24. The exhibition was inaugurated by Ganga Bahadur Thapa, Vice President, Nepal Olypmic Committee with Dr Dirgha Singh Bam, Secretary for Ministry of Population and Health as Guest of Honour .

Around 50 different stalls have been put up by 39 different companies which include fitness equipment, health clubs, meditation, yoga, herbal products, acupuncture, fitness magazines and many others. The expo is being organised with the intention of creating awareness about health among people of all ages, bring about a positive change in people’s attitudes towards health and give new information regarding technology related to health, with the motto, ‘Prevention is better than cure.’

Another interesting aspect of the expo is the various seminars being organised related to meditation, art of living, fitness for students, acupuncture, protection from ageing and E-SMOG, Bio-disc and Chi energy pendant presentation. If you wish to take part in these sessions, you can go there and register as it is on first come, first serve basis. The other interesting aspects of the expo are free dental and blood donation camps. Entry is free.
