Heart of gold
Months ago I got my first salary of Rs 1,800. I put aside Rs 100 for charity and carried it around in my purse. I couldn’t drop it in any social organisation as I was afraid someone might just pocket it. I know it’s not a generous donation, but I want at least one hungry child to eat something from it. I didn’t give it to a beggar because I don’t want to encourage begging. What should I do? Please suggest. I feel silly not being able to do any good when I want to. — Ever so-confused girl
Dear Ever-so Confused Girl,
Well done! Nepal would be a different place if everyone felt like you! There are several places you can donate your money to... Pashupati Bridha Ashram, Tewa, Nagarik Awaz, Saathi, et cetera. However, a little bit of personal research will help you decide where you should give your money. Keep up the good work!
