KATHMANDU: To support the flood victims at Sapta Koshi, Women Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC), Kutumba, Youth Initiative and Godavari Alumni Association (GAA) jointly organised a musical event at GAA hall on August 31. During the event, traditional musical ensemble Kutumba performed their own creations and some popular folk songs like Chandi, Yak walk, Naulo bihani, Kanchi among others. The crowd present enjoyed the peppy beats with enthusiasm.

Talking about their association with the cause Rasil Palanchoki of Kutumba said, “It feels good to see that our work and small effort for such cause can make huge difference in the life of the people who are in need of help.”

During the event, money was collected from the audience and as per organisers’ request people had brought clothes, utensils and other household goods for the flood victims. All together Rs 90,000 was raised and 300 kg of clothes and utensils was collected.
