Hollywood rallies to help hurricane victims

Los Angeles:

Singers, actors and entertainers from Hollywood will feature in fundraising special charity concerts for the thousands of Americans whose lives lay in shatters after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Some, like Britney Spears, have also announced that they will offer their prayers for the victims.

More concrete relief will probably come from a benefit concert set for Friday night on NBC with all funds going to the American Red Cross. ABC, Fox and CBS are also expected to announce special programming to aid the relief efforts. Among the artistes slated to perform on the NBC show are New Orleans natives Wynton Marsalis and Harry Connick Jr., as well as country singer Tim McGraw and film star Leonardo DiCaprio.
