Hot and fashionable in the rain

Kathmandu: Monsoon is at its peak and to make our spirits soar high, The House of Petals International in association with Pahiran Fashion Studio and Take Care are organising an exclusive fashion show featuring the most innovative fashion wear for monsoons. ‘Monsoon Mela’ is the third of its kind and is being held at Hotel Yak and Yeti on August 27 from 10 am to 8 pm. A total of 30 stalls would be exhibiting various products like clothes, bags, slippers, jewellery, cosmetics, artistic paintings, furniture, handicrafts and branded perfumes. “Usually only the concept of summer and winter wear grab maximum attention and monsoon fashion grabs a back seat said Kavita Agrawal, fashion designer, Pahiran Fashion Studio. This ‘Monsoon Mela’ is thus entirely meant for promoting monsoon fashion.” Many NGOs and locally run cottage industries will also be exhibiting their products which will be a very good source of inspiration for the people who put in hard work to create such beautiful products. The fete is a promotional event and does not charge anything from the visitors. If you are conscious about the latest trends and don’t know how to go about it this monsoon, do visit the ‘Monsoon Mela’ this Saturday as it will surely be a treat for your eyes and your fashion sense.
