Udit reaccepts ‘wife’ Ranjana

PATNA: Bollywood playback singer Udit Narayan has re-accepted Ranjana as his wife, the Bihar Women’s Commission said on July 28. Udit, accompanied by his lawyer Majid Menon, arrived from Mumbai and drove straight from the airport to depose before the Women’s Commission office. Udit and Ranjana signed a bond paper resolving their disputes, Bihar Women’s Commission Chairperson Manju Prakash said. “It is a happy moment. Both Udit and Ranjana have reached a compromise,” Prakash said. Asked about the status of Deepa Narayan, whom Udit had previously claimed as his wife, Prakash said, “I have not received any application or complaint from her. The Commission examined the complaints of Ranjana after she submitted documents relating to her marriage with Udit, and we are now satisfied Udit agreed to accept her.” — Agencies

PARIS: A song called Headbutt written the day after the World Cup final is set to become the smash hit of the summer in France less than three weeks after its release. The track, inspired by France’s Zinedine Zidane, who was sent off for headbutting Italy’s Marco Materazzi, was written in 30 minutes by three French fans. Headbutt is the most downloaded track in France with 80,000 downloads.
