Inspiring positivity in you

Each and every person has the wish and capacity to make a difference and to do something productive. All of us at one point or another need a little push, an inspiration and some motivation to move ahead. And when you hear Shiv Khera speak about life and ways of living, you will understand what believing, living and growth in life is all about.

World-renowned author, educator and motivational speaker Khera was in town for a three-day workshop. As the workshop was organised focusing mostly on corporate people, another programme was organised at the Dasarath Stadium on May 10. The programme basically focused on Khera speaking on different aspects of life, about positivity, right attitude, failure and success and many more. Though it had been planned that Khera would speak in English and a Nepali translator would translate, but at the last moment he ended up speaking in Hindi in the absence of a translator.

“Confidence without humbleness is arrogance,” said Khera speaking about the need of humbleness in life to succeed and to be respected for that success.

With his easy words describing big problems and obstacles of life with a dash of humour, he won hearts of the hundreds as they clapped and cheered him.

When he asked if anyone in the crowd had a problem in their life, everyone raised their hands. Then Khera said that only dead don’t have problems as they rest in peace. “Problems are part of life, as long as you live it will be there. The day you won’t have any problems, pray to God and ask him if he has stopped believing in you and lost confidence in your ability,” he said. “You cannot decide which card you will get, but you can decide how you will you play the game,” added Khera talking about people blaming fate for failures.

He continued his speech for more than an hour entertaining and inspiring the crowd at the same time. Various Nepali artistes like Robin and the New Revolution, Axe Band, Abhaya and the Steam Injuns performed at the event and the event ended with a DJ mix of Patriotic songs by DJ B Man and DJ NVN. The event was organised by Life Vision International and managed by Abir International. — HNS
