Johansson moving house

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are selling their Los Angeles home at a $2.5 million loss as they want to relocate to New York.

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are moving to New York.

The married couple have put their four-bedroom Spanish style Los Angeles property up for sale for $4.5 million - $2.5 million less than they paid for it in 2007 - with the intention of permanently relocating to the $2 million penthouse apartment they already own on the Upper East Side in the 'Big Apple'.

The Los Angeles house was built in 1931 and has been restored to its old style, as well as updated with eco-conscious upgrades such as solar electric.

The home boasts five bathrooms, a pool and spa, chef's kitchen with retro decor, a media room and gym room.

This is not the first time Scarlett has faced a loss when selling a property.

In April 2008, the 'Lost In Translation' actress sold her Manhattan loft apartment for $1.9 million - $52,000 less than she bought it for two years earlier.

Scarlett is currently starring in a theatre production of 'A View From The Bridge' on New York's Broadway.
