Lose yourself in enchanting Terabithia
KATHMANDU:
There is a magical world beckoning you, a world that has been created by two friends. They have named their world Terabithia, and their world is coming to the Capital on February 23.
We are talking about the new fantasy film Bridge to Terabithia, based Katherine Paterson’s novel by the same name.
Fifth grader Jesse Aaron’s dreams of becoming the fastest runner in his class.
But on the day of the race, a new girl Leslie Burke takes part in the ‘boys only race’ and outruns everybody. Jesse, of course, is sour about his loss, but Leslie wins him over with a stick of gum and soon they become buddies.
Jesse shares his secret love of drawing with Leslie; Leslie shares with Jess her love of fantasy stories. Together they venture into the woods, where they find a tree house on the other side. Together the two friends make a whole new world — Terabithia — and it comes to life before their very eyes.
However, tragedy strikes in the real world... and Jesse re-imagines Terabithia and builds a bridge across the river.
Bridge to Terabithia was released in the US on February 16 and has received positive response and ratings so far. To enter this magical terrain of Terabithia, just dial 4442220.
