From the very beginning, the girl’s family objected strongly to her dating this guy. Saying that it has got to do with family background and that the girl will have to suffer for the rest of her life if she were to be with him.

Due to family’s pressure, the couple would quarrel very often. Though the girl loves the guy deeply, but she always asks him, “How deep is your love for me?”

As the guy is not good with his words, this often causes the girl to be very upset. With that and the family’s pressure, the girl often vents her anger on him. As for him, he only endures it in silence.

After a couple of years, the guy finally graduates and decides to further his studies overseas. Before leaving, he proposes to the girl, “I’m not very good with words. But all I know is that I love you. If you allow me, I will take care of you for the rest of my life. As for your family, I’ll try my best to talk them round. Will you marry me?”

The girl agrees and with the guy’s determination, the family finally gives in and agrees to let them get married. So before he leaves, they get engaged.

The girl goes out to the working society, whereas the guy goes overseas, continuing his studies. They send their love through emails and phone calls. Though it’s hard, both never think of giving up.

One day, while the girl in on her way to work she was knocked down by a car. When she wakes up, she sees her parents beside her bed. She realises that she is badly injured. Seeing her mum cry, she wants to comfort her but she realises that she has lost her voice.

The doctor says the impact on her brain has caused her to lose her voice.

During the stay in hospital, it’s just silence that gives her company her. Upon reaching home, everything seems to be the same except for the the ringing of the phone. She does not wish to let her guy know as she does not want to be a burden on him. She writes him a letter saying that she does not wish to wait any longer. With that, she sends back the ring back to him.

In return, the guy sends millions of replies calls countless number of times. But all that the girl can do is cry.

The parents decide to move away hoping that she can eventually forget everything and be happy.

In a new environment, the girl learns sign language and starts a new life telling herself that she must forget the guy. One day, her friend comes and tells her he’s back. She asks her friend not to tell him what happened to her.

A year passes and her friend comes with an envelope that has an invitation card for the guy’s wedding. The girl is shattered. When she opens the letter, she sees her name as the bride.

About to ask her friend what’s going on, she sees the guy standing in front of her. He uses sign language to tell her, “I’ve spent a year learning sign language just to let you know that I’ve not forgotten our promise. Let me have the chance to be your voice. I love you.”
