Mark Ronson to debut voice

LOS ANGLES: Producer Mark Ronson has confirmed he will sing for the first time on his new album, but admits he's terrified about showing off his vocal talents.

Mark Ronson has confirmed he will sing on his new album.

The producer's vocals have never been heard before - instead letting his famous pals, including Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse, perform the duties - but he has decided to show off his talent, even though Lady Gaga went back on a promise to get him some singing lessons.

He said: "I'm singing on a track on the new album with the singer from The Drums - we are mixing this week. Lady Gaga told me she'd buy me a singing lesson with her tutor she's known forever. She never did stump up for it."

However, Mark admits he's terrified about taking his vocals out of the studio and onto the stage.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: "The thought of doing it live is terrifying. But I'm properly singing, it's not auto-tuned. Alex Greenwald, who sang 'Just' on 'Version', was the only person I trusted to record me as I knew he'd tell me the truth."

If he does decided to sing live, Mark won't be able to rely on any alcoholic beverages to calm his nerves beforehand.

He said: "You can get as f***ed up as you like while playing guitar but no drinking while singing as it closes your vocal chords."
