WASHINGTON: Friends star Matthew Perry reveals the breaking point that helped him overcame drug abuse. Perry recently opened up about his struggle with alcohol and drug addiction and revealed how he finally overcame it and got sober.

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the 46-year-old actor, who is currently seen on CBS comedy The Odd Couple with ex Lauren Graham, said that he landed into a big trouble when his alcohol addiction became public because he was on the TV.

“The fact that I am on TV makes people listen a little bit more, so I take advantage of that from time to time,” Perry told the Hollywood Reporter. Earlier in 2015, the former Friends star was honoured for his work with Phoenix House, a non-profit drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre.
