Mid-east pets get new homes

Hundreds of dogs and cats left homeless after fighting in the Middle East have found new homes abroad. Some have even travelled as far as the US to find a new place to live, with many living at a special animal shelter near Utah. There was lots of fighting in Israel and Lebanon in July and August, and many people had to leave their homes. That meant lots of pets were abandoned but now they’ve been flown around the world to the shelter. It took a whole day for the pets to get from Beirut. Now they’re settling into their new home and getting some much-needed medical treatment from vets.
