Mother Teresa to be screened

KATHMANDU:

We see her legacy almost anywhere in the world. Her Missionaries of Charity are carrying on her work of caring for the needy selflessly. And on October 7, a film on this dimunitive woman from Skopje, who went on to become one of the towering figures of the millennium, is to be screened at St Xavier’s School, Jawalakhel.

The film simply titled Mother Teresa has received much praise with the journal Movie Reporter saying, “This is the most spiritually uplifting film since The Passion of Christ.”

Golden Globe Award winner Olivia Hussey plays the Mother in the film directed by Dr Fabrizio Costa. The film traces the Mother’s life from when she was a school teacher till her death.

This is a charity show in aid of repair works for the Assumption Church at Dhobighat.
