KATHMANDU: Nepal’s popular folk-rock band, Nepathya, is all set to perform in Doha of Qatar for the second time on the occasion of ‘Eid al-Adha’ next week.

Issuing a statement today, Nepalaya said, the band will enthral the audience at the ‘Asian Town Amphitheater’ in Doha on Monday, August 12, 7:00 pm onwards.

“We are really excited and looking forward to visiting Qatar again after five years and entertaining our Nepali migrant workers there. We are really grateful to the organisers,” Amrit Gurung, band’s lead singer and social activist said.

We will perform songs from the folk genre originated from our own Nepali soil to entertain Nepalis working in the gulf state, Amrit Gurung added.

“We will make this concert a memorable one and have made preparations accordingly. We have selected special songs to captivate the audience there,” lead singer Amrit Gurung shared.

As usual, Amrit Gurung is accompanied on stage by Dhruba Lama on drums, Suraj Thapa on keyboards, Niraj Gurung on guitars, Subin Shakya on bass guitar and Shanti Raimajhi on madal.

The event is organised by Level FN Advertising and Event. According to organiser Laxman Prasad Chaulagain, tickets are priced at Qatari Riyal 35, 50 and 100.
