Nepali students shine

KATHMANDU: Nepali students shone at the recently held ‘International Art and Craft Contest 2007’. More than 17 lakh students from five different countries had participated in the contest, with 18,000 students from 70 schools in Nepal.

Sabina Shrestha of Nightingale School won the first prize worth Rs 50,000 in the craft category, while Laxmi Tamang of Daffodil School came won Rs 20,000 by coming second in the same category. Sneha Amatya of The Excelsior School stood second in the art section and won Rs 20,000.

Indian Idol participants Emon and Puja were present at the function, which was organised by Anuj Stores and Vicky Stationeries. The event was sponsored by Pidilite Industries Ltd and co-sponsored by Dabur Nepal.
