Nepathya thrills Finnish crowd

KATHMANDU:

Nepathya performed to a packed audience at the Savannah Stage of the World Village Festival on May 28, according to a press release issued by nepa~laya. The show started with Nepathya’s version of Gaun Gaun Bata Utha. Frontman Amrit Gurung said, “This song has been an inseparable part of Nepal’s social movement for the past four decades. Our elders sang this to motivate people to rise for their rights. Today I would like to remember all freedom fighters of Nepal while I sing this song to you.”

The audience followed the songs by dancing and clapping to the Nepali rhythms.

After nine songs and their designated time over, Nepathya left the stage. But on public demand, the band came back performed Rato ra Chandra Surya.
