No more smoking in Disney films
Disney has promised to stub out scenes of smoking from all of its family films in the future. Some studies have suggested that children who see smoking on the big screen in movies are more likely to start themselves. Not many Disney films have shown smoking in recent years, but now none of them will again. Disney was behind the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy of films and also owns the Pixar company too. They’re the company behind animated films like Toy Story, Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo. Although smoking is rare in Disney films now, some of the older ones had lots of it. In One Hundred and One Dalmatians baddie Cruella De Vil is rarely seen without a cigarette holder in her mouth.
