Our creative children

Kathmandu:

What would be the world like in the imagination of children aged between 5-11 years? You can see the world through the eyes of these children at the British Council where artwork done by 35 children from the Ganjala Children Home, Lalitpur, have been exhibited for sale from January 23.

The paintings, sculptures, tie-dye and stone paintings were produced at a two-day workshop conducted by members of Sutra art group on December 23 and 24. Nature, birds and animals, the country they live in, the national flag, and of course, the cartoon characters they are influenced by, are the subject of the majority of their artwork.

The price ranges from Rs 100-300 and all the proceeds from the sale will go to the Ganjala Children Home, Lalitpur which is a home to 32 children from 11 different rural districts of Nepal. The exhibition will continue till January 26.
