Kathmandu University High School organised its first inter-school art competition on September 26. The competition was held among four schools of Kavre district — Malpi International School, Dipendra Police School, SOS Hermon Gmeiner School and KUHS and divided into three levels — primary, lower-secondary and secondary. The judges for the competition were Gautam Ratna Tuladhar and Shyam Lal Shrestha. The art works were judged on the basis of creativity, cleanliness and effectiveness.
Anubhav Maharjan of KUHS stood first in the primary level, while Santa Bahadur Gurung of DPS stood second and Priya Pradhan of Malpi stood third, with Jatin Shrestha of Malpi receiving the consolation prize. The topic for the primary level was ‘My family’.
In the lower-secondary level, Dilasha Manandhar of KUHS stood first, with Kripa Shakya of KUHS and Shital Lama of Malpi coming second and third. Sushil Chand of DPS won the consolation prize. The topic was ‘People and Culture’.
In the secondary level, Sapana Karki of DPS, Hilson Shrestha of KUHS and Nischal Diwakar of Malpi came first, second and third. Bishnu Prasad Tiwari of SOS won the consolation prize. The topic was ‘Say no to drugs’.
