Baduli lagyo ni lagyo ni lau malai

Maya ko bandana le samjhe

ki kaso...

If you have teased girls during your college days singing these lines, then here’s your chance to meet the voice behind these evergreen words. This is a famous duet that Gyalmo sang with Daisy Baraily. Other songs that define Gyalmo’s illustrous career that spans over 30 years are Sahar bhitra ke ko halla, Raat gahirindai janchha, Malai rukho sahanubhuti, Subhakama among others.

Gyalmo, who is based in Darjeeling, is already here in Kathmandu and practising for her performances. “Participation in the Paleti series had created a mixed feeling of excitement and nervousness. Maybe because this is my first solo show. I have also been off stage for a long time. But with the rehearsal sessions on track, I am gaining confidence. I will try my best to satisfy the Paleti audience,” says Gyalmo.

Paleti with Dawa Gyalmo will be held on September 28 and 29 at r-sala from 5:30 pm. (For further details, call 5542646, 5552839)
