Hundreds of music aficionados dared the rains and reached Dipendra Sabhagriha to enjoy Subharambha’s concert here on September 9.

The programme was the jointly organised by Spiral Media Zone and Kaalbhairav Event Management, with the BP Koirala India-Nepal Foundation as the chief sponsor and Kanti-Anup as the local manager.

Youth singers Satyaraj Acharya, Swaroopraj Acharya, Sailesh Singh, Pravin Baraili and Binod Baniya sang songs of Sur Samrat Narayan Gopal, Bhaktaraj Acharya, Arun Thapa, Deep Shrestha and Prem Dhwoj Pradhan at the programme. Baniya is a singer from Pokhara. However, singer Jagadish Samal could not be present at the function as he was not feeling well, said singer Satyaraj Acharya.

Songs including Para laijau fulaharu, Sabai behosi nasa piyera, Bitekakura, Hajaar akha, Rituharuma, Malai mafa garideu among others were performed.

The audience comprised people from all age groups including fans from different genres of music — disco, modern and sentimental.

The Pokhara programme was the seventh of the series of Shubhramha — The Musical Journey that started on December 3, 2005.
