Pope inspires new wristband

Students sitting exams in the Irish Republic are hoping to get support from the late Pope John Paul II by wearing wristbands featuring his words. The bands are inscribed with his famous words “Be Not Afraid” and will offer comfort to students suffering exam stress, says the Catholic Church. Student Daniel Philbin Bowman, 16, came up with the idea after being inspired by the late pontiff. The wristbands are two euros each. — Agencies
