LOS ANGELES: Pop star-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham surprised onlookers when she turned up to watch a football match wearing baggy jeans and

flip flops.

The fashionista, who is never seen in public without her favourite five-inch heels and fitting black dre-sses, brought her three sons along to cheer husband David for a match.

Victoria changed into baggy jeans, V-neck tee-shirt and flip-flops after being photographed at the airport wearing her signature pencil skirt and killer heels combination.

The former Spice Girl is often ridiculed for her obsession with high-heeled shoes, and she made news when she refused to change into a pair of sneakers for an honorary appearance on a baseball pitch. Victoria had previously admitted in an interview that she hated wearing flat shoes, saying, “I just can’t concentrate in flats. I could go to the gym if I wore flats, I’d love to go to the gym, but I just can’t get my head around the footwear,” said Victoria.

But Posh’s wardrobe change seems to be lucky for husband David, who made history at the match becoming England’s most capped player as he took his 109th cap, finally surpassing Bobby Moore’s long-standing record of 108.
