It is so much fun watching the Indian Idol, and I do not miss an opportunity to watch this programme on Fridays and Saturdays. We sit together as a family and enjoy the show with some Kurkure and cold drinks. Not just my family but all my relatives come over and we cheer for our hero — Prashant Tamang.

“Prashant, Prashant, Prashant!”

Even in my dream I see Prashant becoming Indian Idol-3.

Today we see that fever even on the streets of Kathmandu Valley with many advertisements for Prashant. However, we cannot vote for Prashant from here. And many have travelled all the way to Darjeeling and other Indian border towns to vote for our hero.

We have collected funds and sent it through agents to SMS votes in favour of Prashant. Many programmes have been and are being organised in the Valley to collect funds for Prashant so as to help him win the title.

But why are we voting for Prashant?

He has a versatile voice, and the charming and innocent face have attracted Nepali citizens. Many people can even die for him, especially the teenagers and ladies. If I were a girl, I would ask him to marry me.

Many Nepali agents have promised to bring Prashant to perform in Nepal and we hope that he will be here soon.

We pray for Prashant’s success. May God bless him to become ‘Indian Idol-3’.
