Sarah Michelle Prinze and Freddie Prinze JR. are new parents after welcoming their first child.

The actress, who has changed her last name from Gellar to Prinze, gave birth to daughter Charlotte Grace in Los Angeles on Saturday (19Sep09).

A representative for the star tells People.com, "The family is over the moon."

The Hollywood couple married in Mexico in 2002.
