Queen Latifah wanted to be in politics before she opted for a career in singing and acting. The award-winning rapper, whose real name is Dana Owens, wanted to change the world around her while she was growing up, contactmusic.com report.

“It (a career in politics) did cross my mind. I was always that kind of kid who wanted to be involved in student government. If there was a way I could change the world, then I wanted to be involved in it,” she was quoted as saying on a US television show.
