Quick and easy
KATHMANDU: Who said you have to spend a lot of time to get that great, elegant look? You can achieve this in one minute provided you choose the right product and know the way. Here are quick tricks to help you with this.
• Even out skin tone with tinted moisturiser, dabbing on a little extra over dark circles or blemishes. Choose one with SPF and you’ll protect, hydrate, and add sheer coverage in one step, with no special tools.
• Swipe on a neutral lip gloss. It makes lips look full and healthy and adds colour so subtle, you don’t even need a mirror to apply it.
• Finish off with a coat of brown mascara.
While these are the basic steps you can deal some of your last minute make up woes with these:
• Add some cheek colour. A light dusting of peachy, apricot blush works for nearly all skin tones and brings your whole face to life.
• Need to disguise obvious grey roots or a few wiry white strays? If you can’t get to your colourist anytime soon try brushing brown or black mascara on the problematic strands.
• No time for shampoo try hair powder. Apply a bit of tinted powder to your roots and it sops up oil. Regular baby powder works as a degreaser, too, but use it only on grey hair (it’s visible on darker shades).
