KATHMANDU:

A recitation of Adi Kavi (Pioneer poet) Bhanu Bhakta Acharya’s translation of the epic Ramayan by more than 130 artistes can now be accessed through the Internet.

The uploaded recitation in an mp3 format was launched at a programme organised on the occasion of 194th Bhanu Jayanti at Nepal Music Center on July 17. It can be downloaded from Music Nepal’s website, www.musicnepal.com.

The trio Kamalmani Dixit, Ramesh Khakurel, and Koshraj Neupane, led the project of recording the recitation that took a total of 90 days to be completed.

Noted cultural expert Satya Mohan Joshi was the chief guest at the programme, which also saw the launching of a book Lok Nach- Sanchipta Adhyayan (Folk dances- a brief study) by Ram J Thapa “Rochak”. Music Nepal has published the book, which has attempted to cover all aspects of folk dances of the Nepali people.
