NEW YORK: Actress Mischa Barton’s landlord has slapped a lawsuit on her because she allegedly owes $21,000 in unpaid rent for her New York apartment.

In a lawsuit filed on January 21, lawyers for property company MRA Realities Inc claim the former OC star has been ignoring all requests to pay rent for the last three months, reports imdb.com. Barton had rented the property at $7,000 per month in the trendy Tribeca neighbourhood on a one-year lease. She had planned to stay in the city while filming her now defunct TV show The Beautiful Life. The series was axed the same month. The landlords are also seeking the

legal fees.
