Resham Filili to hit theatres again today

Kathmandu

Timi ra ma ghumna jaauna na

Pirati ko chhata odhauna na

This song from the film Resham Filili became such a craze in the country that there was almost no one who was not singing or humming it when it was released. However, for the film itself, nature had something else planned. It released on April 24, and the nation was rocked by the 7.6 magnitude earthquake on April 25. The shows were cancelled. However, the movie is being re-released on August 28.

“It is difficult for people to come out from the trauma and this is why the movie wasn’t released earlier. If the release of the movie is postponed again, people will lose interest in it. This is why we have felt this is the right time for the audience and us as well. And we are lucky that there is a three-day holiday too when we are releasing it again,” informed Vinay Shrestha, the movie’s leading man.

It has already been released in 12 countries — the US, the UK, Australia, Qatar, France, Korea, Japan and India, among others.

The movie narrates the story of two characters struck by bad luck and misfortune. It also depicts the story of friendship, dreams and hopes despite all the odds that come along. “It is romantic and full of comedy too,” added Shrestha.

Directed by Pranab Joshi and produced by Madhav Wagle, the movie features Shrestha, Karma, Kameshwor Chaurasiya, Menuka Pradhan, Sishir Bangdel, Ashutosh Shrestha, Arun Regmi among others.
