Rogers no to movie role
LONDON: Country superstar Kenny Rogers refused to appear in his forthcoming movie as he’s convinced he is too ill to appear on camera. The Islands in the Stream singer wrote the book Christmas in Canaan, which has been turned into a film starring Billy Ray Cyrus. And the 71-year-old admits he vowed to stay behind the camera because of a number of ailments he is suffering from.
He says, “My body is falling apart. The only way that I could do it is if I played a character who gets shot in the left leg and the right shoulder in the opening scene.”
