Sangetik Mantra begins

KATHMANDU:

After creating a niche in the event management sector and becoming the most happening party makers, PartyNepal has come up with an innovative idea to promote Nepali music industry and entertain audiences of different walks through their events. In association with Nepa Music Production, they have started a brand new series of event ‘Sangetik Mantra’ featuring various fusion and classical artistes performing in the garden of 1905, Kantipath. Sangetik Mantra will be a fortnightly event.

The first concert of the series was on November 14. The fusion concert ‘Acoustic Vibe with Anil Shahi and Friends’ saw both local and foreigners filling up the place to hear their favourite musician play some beautiful music.

During the event Shahi’s latest album, Acoustic Vibes was officially released by sitar maestro Homnath Upadhya.At the concert, fusion and classical guitarist Anil Shahi and his friends on tabala, flute and percussion infused the air with a blend of melodious tunes of the West and East.

Shahi performed some of his well known fusion numbers from previous albums and some numbers from his new album as well. — HNS
