Parents day
celebrated
VS Glorious English Medium School celebrated its parents’ day on February 21. A prize distribution ceremony for the toppers of 2063, and shields for the best performance in their respective clubs like dance, vocals, martial arts, computers, Japanese language and music were also held. The students were much inspired by the speech given by the founder, principal and vice principal on the importance of extra curricular activities along with academic excellence. There was also a performance by pop diva Reshma Sonuwar.

Educational expo held
An educational exhibition organised by the primary level students of Suryodaya Secondary School was held on February 23 on the school premises. Different stalls displayed as chart works, models, flash cards, booklets and paper leaf-lets. These small scientists were explained their inventions, while others described the models they had made of current Nepal and about environmental awareness. It was the paper craft stall that received special attention where a number of exhibits created out of waste paper were presented. The exhibition was visited by a large number of parents, guardians and other guests.

Secondary School
In-quiz-itive
A view to increase all round knowledge of students a mega quiz contest was held by ISTU (Institutional School Teachers’ Union), Ekata unit in which 36 schools of Kathmandu valley had participated. The quiz competition was conducted in two rounds. The final round was held at Brihaspati Vidya Sadan School on February 23. Chahana International School were the winners while Reliance International School came second.
The prizes and certificates were given by academicians Bairagi Kaila and Ratnakar Devkota and other distinguished personalities of ISTU at Bal Mandir. A cultural programme was also organised during the prize distribution ceremony.

Basketball competition
The Blue Sky Public School at Ghattekulo organised an inter house basketball competition on February 22. Students from different houses took part in the competition. Among the boys Blue House was the winner, and the Green House among the girls.
