SCHOOL TIMES : Hot, hot summer
The summer has left me listless. It’s so very hot that I cannot do anything except doze.
I am a passionate cricketer but there’s no energy in me to devote myself to cricket. The days are extremely hot. The sun is very happy and looks on us with such a bright and yellow face that none of us can keep our eyes fixed on him for more than a second. Clouds come but retreat after a drizzle.
Nights are hot too. The mosquitoes bite almost non-stop and the mosquito-repellents don’t work unless all doors and windows are shut. And after all doors and windows are shut, one can imagine what it’s like inside the room.
This rise in temperature is because of global warming, which is the result of various environment unfriendly human activities. I request all educated readers to do whatever they can to protect our environment, and control their environment unfriendly activities. — Bidish Pudasaini, Class IX, Triyog High School
