Napoleon was once asked what the great need of France was. He said, “A nation’s progress is impossible without trained and educated mothers. If the women of my country are not educated, about half of the people will be ignorant.”

A woman has to play three roles in the course of her life. Each of these roles expects some duties from her.

The very foremost duty is being a good daughter, the second being a good wife and the third being a good mother. Therefore, all women should be educated. It helps her in all walks of life. She becomes well aware of her duties and rights.

‘Hands that rock the cradle, rules the world’ means that she becomes a great influence to her children as they look up to her. An educated mother will be able to mould her children’s thoughts and character in a better manner. Thus, it is very necessary that women be educated.
